The journey of discovery and awe that we take you here at Tata Steel Zoological Park, is a result of the diverse faunal species that we house. Experience and enjoy the rich tapestry of our wildlife, where each of the animals we house, has a story to tell. Whether you find these animals in the open, or at a conservatory space like our park, they always have something to say; to be responsible citizens of this world, it is important we listen.
Join us on our path of appreciating the delights of the animal world, and of festering a certain level of responsibility towards them.
At Tata Steel Zoological Park, we are focused on the overall conservation of both flora and fauna. The presence of both flora and fauna is necessary to maintain balance in the natural surroundings. This balance is vital for the environment. Our rich variety of floral species is breathtaking and is one that leaves you filled with admiration for the botanical diversity that exists around us. The floral species that we house, all contribute to our conservation efforts. A number of exotic plants have found a place in the park, contributing to its natural environment.
The display of our floral diversity is a much-needed reminder of the fascinations that surround us and our duty towards them. A variety of about 20 plant species is available in the park, some of which we aren’t even aware of!

We believe that conservation is a collective effort and is only truly possible when everyone involved plays an active role. With this in mind, we have various public engagement opportunities that won’t just introduce you to the work we do but will encourage you to be equally engaged.
One of the opportunities we offer our visitors that makes them feel like a part of our conservation efforts is the ‘Adopt an Animal’ initiative. You can adopt an animal for yourself, or as a gift, and by doing so, you will be making a valuable contribution to help us preserve the threatened and endangered animals at the zoo. By adopting an animal, you not only help with the care and feeding of that animal but also support education and conservation programs at the Zoo.
You could also become a member of our bird club. Our zoo is the perfect destination for bird watching. There are about 36 varieties of birds found in their natural habitat within the zoo. The zoo offers membership to its exclusive Bird Club.
The Tata Steel Zoological Society has a place for everyone! Whether it is with the intention to learn or contribute to our conservation program, you can join our volunteer program and gain first-hand experience of the natural world.
Volunteering with us will be an overall enriching experience that will ignite the conservationist in you and give you hands-on environmental education, while also giving you the opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the animal world. Together, we can learn, grow, and make a lasting impact on the world around us!
Your experience here at Tata Steel Zoological Society can be vast and exciting! Here are a few other attractions that we offer to make your visit a memorable one.
